Cecilie Rau Petersen

Cecilie Rau Petersen

Cecilie has always been very passionate about music— especially singing, piano and songwriting, and enjoys sharing her experience and knowledge with other music enthusiasts. In addition to a BA degree from Copenhagen University in Musicology, Cecilie has also received many private vocal and piano lessons. She has happily participated in choirs and bands, as both lead singer and backing vocalist, within a broad field of genres including pop/rock, funk/soul/jazz, balkan and singer‐ songwriter music/folk. Cecilie has enjoyed composing and songwriting from an early age and is currently working on music for ACT’s plays and her own singer‐songwriter project.Alongside her creative music-writing, Cecilie also works as a choirmaster, gives individual vocal training, piano and composing lessons.

 

Anja

Anja Tye

Anja has diplomas in dance education and performing art. She was educated at Creative Missions School of performing arts in Sweden, the Bjarnovs Dance Centre in Denmark, Hilde Holger modern dance school of central European expressionism in London, the Desmond Jones school of mime and physical theatre in London, and Garold Andersen's school of theatre arts The Art Factory in Germany. Anja has trained and performed with the Juri Zardok Mime Company and Eternia dance theatre company in Denmark. She is currently employed at a Danish youth performing arts boarding school, where she teaches dance, theatre, Christianity and English.

Kevin is from Cameroon, where he grew up in a large family. His mother was a dancer who later on became a BBC journalist and his father, a musician. He attended a bilingual Catholic primary school and a Roman Catholic boarding secondary school. Throughout this period of his life, Kevin participated in many talent shows, public performances and school plays. He moved to Denmark in 2003, where he received an IB education. Since moving to Denmark, Kevin has performed in a number of productions and cabarets around Denmark. He also owns an entertainment consulting company called Kaffé Kaffé Entertainment, which works in promoting, booking and organizing different events around Denmark and abroad.

 

 ThaboChristopher Thabo Paul Pietersen

Born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa, Thabo has lived in Copenhagen for 11 years with his beautiful 10 year old daughter, Julia Neo. From the age of 10, Thabo has enjoyed dancing and performing, in both solo and group dancing competitions. His love for music was fierce, and although his parents could not afford music lessons, he sang in the primary school choir. During his junior year of high school, Thabo met Donovan Erasmus and Arthur Andersen, and they started their own rap group, The Shwing Budhi Tribe. Thabo has also done several TV commercials in Cape Town, for companies such as Coca‐Cola, 7‐up,

 

 HerveHervé Toure

Hervé, better known as RV, works as a model, film producer, actor, and has been involved in many exciting and innovative projects in the entertainment industry. He also has a musical side, as a beat‐ boxer, singer and rapper, in Danish, French and English. Hervé has worked with director Christophe Dolcerocca, film Institute Mastiff, and with various Danish artists. His fan base is growing as he reaches out to a large part of Denmark. He is creating a movement of empowerment among his followers, through his creative and uniting projects. Wanjiku Victoria Seest

Born and raised in Kenya, Wanjiku Victoria Seest developed a deep love for the performing arts at an early age. Her professional journey began with Heartstrings Ensemble where she was involved in various theatrical productions. She later went on to study with Agoro Theatre Company and the University of California Drama School. She was subsequently involved in an array of musicals and stage productions in the USA. She successfully released her debut album under the stage name VQEE in the summer of 2010, later performing across stages in Africa and Europe and featured on various print, TV and radio media. The album earned her a nomination at the 2009 Celebrate Africa Achievement Awards. A Kenyan singer, songwriter, actress and history enthusiast based in Denmark, Wanjiku continues her part in the creative world, working and collaborating on original musical, theatrical and film projects, as well as sharing her creative passion.

Tonicah has more than 11 years experience in the audio visual field and a BA 1st Class Honors in Audio Engineering from Middlesex University. She has a wide range of knowledge about the creative, technical and business aspects of the music and entertainment industry. Tonicah has worked in many areas, including recording, editing, mixing and mastering audio and film, music publishing, marketing/branding and graphic design.

(b.1954) Eugene (Evgeny) Kluev born in Russia, has been resident in Denmark since 1996. In Russia he is considered a master of the absurd,best known as a novelist, playwright, and children´s writer.In Denmark he has published widely on Russian and Danish social questions.’To Catch a Dane’ is from the 2009 Danish PEN publication Herfra min verden går (From Here My World Begins), an anthology of work by foreign writers living in Denmark.

Julie Schmidt Andreasen is a Danish choreographer, performer and teacher. She graduated from London Contemporary Dance School with a Bachelor of Arts with Honours. She creates with fine artists, composers, filmmakers and photographers for theatre, gallery and natural invironments. Her work has been performed or screened in UK, Sweden, The States and Denmark, selected for Zealous X, Resolution! and Kaleidoscopic Arts Platform. Julie teaches contemporary dance to a wide age group; in kindergarten, school, adult education and elderly homes. She has also taught salsa, hiphop, Lindy-hop, charleston and jazz. As a performer she danced for Itamar Serussi, Rick Nodine, Grounded Dance Company, Sasha Roubicek and Ari Rosenzweig. She has performed in dancetheatres, films, concerts, live art installations, opera and the Olympic Opening Ceremony, 2012. Her work has been supported by Kulturaftale Nordjylland, Onside Sport Aid, Børns Møde Med Kunsten amongst other.

Jnr has been plying his vocal trade since the age of four, singing with his brothers in local churches. As one of the most widely respected gospel vocalists in the UK, Jnr has performed at many prestigious venues, TV shows and radio shows. He performed in the “West End” musical, ‘Mama I Want to Sing’ (1995), which included “A-List” divas such as Chaka Khan, Deniece Williams and Mica Paris. To cap an already successful year, he won the coveted BBC Gospel Award for “Best male vocalist of the year.” Jnr has travelled many parts of the world, performing in choirs and as a soloist. He performed with the Baltic Philharmonic Orchestra in Poland, and has performed twice for the Pope at the Vatican. Jnr has appeared on numerous albums, as both backing vocalist and main featured artist. He has worked with diverse artists, such as Coolio, Michael Bolton and Yolanda Adams.

Elisha

Elisha Ngoma

Elisha Ngoma is an Actor, artist dancer and choreographer. He was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo. He speaks Swahili, Kirundi, French, English and Danish. He has done his high school education in Congo, and moved lately in Denmark in 2012. Talking about dancing, he was one of the El maestro (a salsa dancing group) founding members, where he had been both a choreographer and a salsa teacher for 2 years. In 2013 he worked in a youth club in Denmark as a Salsa teacher for 10-13 years old. He is also a portrait artist. Drawing has been Elisha’s passion since he was so young. Apart from that, on his free time he likes to play basketball, and he is now playing in a local team called Egedal Basketbold Klub.

Tom Oddvar Gundersen

Tom is an expression artist who was born in Norway to an Icelandic mother. His artistic career started in Sweden in the late eighties. His visual art and physical theatre are embodied in deep Nordic roots and inspired by international aesthetic currents. Through an experimental approach, Tom has found his professional form of artistic expression as a sculptor painter. Historically and geographically, Tom relates to nature and the environment. His indoor and outdoor exhibits from the last 10 years are in relief to the environment and interact with the space, be it classic exhibitions or installation art, group work or individual pieces.

Emmanuel Saakwa

Emmanuel is a singer and songwriter who loves musicals and theater. He has sung at the National Theatre in Ghana, as well as at churches in Denmark and the USA. He developed a very keen interest in musicals after watching “Les Miserables” at the Queen's Theatre in London, as well as other diverse theatrical plays. He is currently pursuing his education as an Msc. in Economics and Business Administration at the University of Southern Denmark, which he will complete this year. He loves to talk, eat, and dance!

Aleksandra Omoke

Aleksandra studied Polish Philology with a specialization in Theater and Pedagogy. She has previously worked as an editor and redactor for the Baltic State Opera in Gdansk. Aleksandra has written programs for works from composers such as Johann Strauss II, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Benjamin Britten and Peter Tchaikovsky, and has worked in corporation with the Baltic Cultural Centre. She was also an editor for a student magazine and she has had the privilege of correcting two books. During her 3 years working in a kindergarten, she created a drama program for 2‐5 year old children and wrote a script based on “The Chronicles of Narnia” by C.S. Lewis.

Sade Johnson

Sade is currently working on a project by Forum for Diversity called Vis‐á‐Vis Art Collective, which aims to create a space for reflection and debate on the concept of diversity through cultural and social events in Copenhagen. Sade received a scholarship for Flow Dance Academy’s dance education; where she perfected her skills within hip‐hop, modern, jazz, new jack swing, new style, free style and ballet. Sade has taught hip‐hop and dancehall classes for all ages at Copenhagen’s leading dance schools, in addition to social empowerment dance workshops with Global Kidz, for children from challenged neighborhoods in Copenhagen. Over the years, Sade as done several dance shows, both minor and large productions, including Elephant Man (Major Jamaican Reggae artist), MGP (Danish Melodi Grand Prix for kids), a Telia commercial, and choreographed and danced for a Nastasja (Danish reggae artist) music video. Sade’s current artistic quest is writing poetry and singing.

Sandra is an actress, producer and art director who graduated from the New York Film Academy. She has worked behind and in front of the camera, on and off stage on more than 50 productions. Her passion for film making is massive, and and her dreams and visions are big. As an artist, Sandra creates and acts with great passion. Camilla Løndorf Rosenkrands

Camilla is trained as an actor in both physical and speaking theatre. After attending School of New Drama, a physical theatre school in Kolding, she continued to the Film and Theater School Holberg in Copenhagen. Camilla has also studied with several Danish actors, most recently Camilla Bendix. Additionally, she attended the Danish Dancing Theatre at the Academy of Music, Dance and Theatre. Camilla teaches and leads workshops, focusing on teaching children and young people. In addition to acting, she also sings, paints and has a master’s degree in psychology. Cassandra was born in Malawi (Africa). His dad worked as an economist for different NGOs Africa and Asia where his favorite places to work, so she grew up living in both countries. From a very young age Cassandra loved performing, she had private piano and singing lessons at the age of 4. At the age of nine she sang in the church coir and every Sunday the church coir sang at the Sunday service, to Cassandra, music and words have never been external, but an internal passion. I was lucky to have met a lot of creative souls during my life, they helped her expand her writing, even though she started writing and reading poetry when she was about eleven, this was when she truly fell in love with words, and art.

Lartey Lawson - Chairman

Lartey brings a lot of diverse experience to the ACT team. He currently works for the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration and has a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from the University of Copenhagen, where he previously worked as a researcher and a teacher. Lartey was a member of the Copenhagen Municipal Council, with the position of Cultural and Leisure spokesman for his party, after he served as an assistant. Lartey is presently a member of the Østerbro Local Council and chairman for Children and Youngsters Committee, and serves on the Management Board for KIF‐athletics in Østerbro. Read more
